Hope everyone's having/had a fun and awesome Halloween! I'm sitting here for a few more minutes waiting for trick-or-treaters before I head to my friends' party, then gotta get to bed somewhat early 'cause we're leaving earrrrrly in the morning to SEE DIR EN GREY IN TEXASSSSS WOOHOOOOO~!~!!!! *bounces*

I am so psyched about this ... since Miyavi canceled, we decided we'd make the additional trek to Houston to catch Monday night's show, then back to Dallas for Tuesday night's. OMG we're going to be so tired of driving by the time we get back BUT IT WILL SO BE WORTH IT.

I'm traveling so much in the next few weeks, it's not even funny. *snicker* Texas for Dir en grey, then actually home for a few days, then south to help at another store for a week, then Phoenix for NASCAR, then Colorado for Dir en grey AGAIN, then... DED. Oh wait, then Black Friday. Then DED. x__X I'M GOING ON TOUR, PEOPLE! *cackle*

... that this totally made me fall off a large green balance ball laughing. I was browsing through the playstation store and I spotted THIS:

"Li'l Asagi Comes Home" - I'm not sure what PSP game it's for (Disgaea or something related, I think), but <rampant fangirl speculation>I'll bet Hiroki has it and laughed his ass off too when he saw it. Probably flailed at Asagi like "DUDE. Check this out!! You're in this game! AWWWWW, you're so CUTE. *laughs*" And then Asagi'd be like "*peer* Nope. Doesn't have cat ears. Also, you can see his right eye. Not me. *shakes head, giggling*" But he'd still, like, never hear the end of it. *cackle* </rampant fangirl speculation>

.... And part of me wants to find out for sure what the hell game this is for, buy it, buy the add-on and play the thing on Luke's ps3 because IT HAS A CHARACTER NAMED ASAGI. Let's see, what else lately?

I managed to nurse my voice back to health just barely enough in time for the talent show a couple weeks ago - I sang "Snow White" by D. Got video, haven't uploaded it to youtube yet 'cause it needs editing and quite frankly, I don't think I really did it justice (and I know the sound system didn't). I sang it an octave higher than Asagi, which normally works well for me (on that song anyway - the effect is intended to be Sarah Brightman-ish) but I didn't have the top notes with the strength I normally would. Considering that I'd been croaking like an asthmatic frog for the previous month and a half, though, it's not too terrible - at least, everyone said I sounded lovely. I think they were just being nice. ^^;;;; I'd like to re-record it now that I really have my voice back. *knock on wood*

Saw Wolverine. Enjoyed it greatly. I got to watch my Ruki-tan fanboy over several different scenes, he got to watch me drool over the swordplay and gun-fu in the first part... and, well, Hugh Jackman in general. Mmmmmm. ^__^

Saw Star Trek. TWICE. Will see it again at least two more times. Fangasmed. OH HELL YES. MUST HAVE MORE. But, um, did any others who also happen to be Fullmetal Alchemist fans notice? Red Matter.... Philosopher's Stone, anyone? *grins widely*

Ren-ren made me an EPIC BIRTHDAY CAKE.

"Happy Birthday Elya-chan" in Klingon script. Cellular Peptide Cake (okay, devil's food) with Mint Frosting. And all 31 candles did fit on it. It was GLORIOUS. }}:-> And delicious! XD

Found more leopard-suited Hello Kitty plushies, can now make a Hello Nyasagi to send to the man for his birthday in August. Also need to make more fleece hats and frilly headpieces, going to have an Artist Alley table with cadkitten at the anime con here in NM at the end of July. Need to figure out cosplay for that too, probably.

Hmm... think that's it for now. I should sleep. //_x

So... I went to Lane Bryant with my mom this evening to use the coupon thingy we got that ended today. Found this lovely black-with-grey pinstripe suit jacket and slacks that looked just amazing, and ended up being about $70 for the set. Not bad, a nice suit is a good investment and all that.

And then I get home and I get to catching up on my flist. Notably, on all the awesomeness that's been shared on blood_relation lately. Specifically, the video from the live chat session thingy that I totally MISSED last weekend 'cause I had to work Saturday night. In between bouts of squeeing at Ruiza hugging Asagi and giggling at the lot of them, I noticed something.

Asagi's wearing a black-with-grey pinstripe suit jacket.

Near as I can tell, anyway. Along with a black dress shirt (which I have) and a pewter tie with a rose on it.

I have GOT to get or make me a tie like that. Sometime before the Twilight midnight release party on the 20th. *cackle* And then I need to sneak Genetic World into the playbin during said party. Yessss...

Reading Fujoshi Rumi while waiting for the mail to come this morning. It's a manga about... a yaoi-obsessed fangirl. And it is SO DAMN TRUE.

Postman showed up just as I got to where the two fangirls go shopping on Otome Road. He's like "You're waiting for this, aren't you?" UH-HUH. I GOTS MAH D. OH HELL YEAH.

All 3 versions of the single... so 3 posters! Sooooo pretttyyyyy.... *sparkly eyes*

Watched the PV again first. Mmmm, lovely.

Then I watched the MAKING OF THE PV... and was laughing so hard my sides hurt. TAUNTING THE FANGIRLS MUCH??? Asagi... thighs... crotchless fishnet tights.... Ruiza-shaped growth on Hide-zou's back... UNGWAAAHHHHHHUUUHHHH... *ASPLODES*

The previews for the new songs are up!! (and, um, have been for a few days, lol, but I'm behind on mah internets)

First of all... I was right about "Snow White ~Another gift~". It is a full-band version, much like the difference between the album version of Queensryche's "Someone Else?" and the full-band bonus version.

But... SRSLY. I was NOT expecting THAT sort of sound. *falls over giggling and then gets up and starts dancing* That's just... SPECIAL DESU. Wow. *gigglefit*

Hmmm... and "What is going on with the human" is promising. I just finished the GOTH manga yesterday (which, yes, I got just because D did this song for the movie... and I need to get the novel). First impression: the Dream Theater influence is definitely showing (or maybe I've been playing too much Rock Band and listening to other bands with the same influences). I am VERY much looking forward to hearing the whole song.

The single comes out next wednesday!! *squeeflaildance* Ah, such good releases next week. Speaking of... the Guild held over REPO! for another week due to popular demand. I'm dragging die-chan-chan and ruki-tan to see it tonight. XD XD XD XD

Went and saw REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA at the Guild tonight. YAY Alibi Midnight Madness for FINALLY getting this damn movie to Albuquerque.

A few comments:

- DAMN. Just... DAAAMN. That was fucked up in so many awesome ways.

- SARAH BRIGHTMAN FTW.

- Yoshiki... um... gee. That Violet UK song at the end sounds like I could almost sing I.V. along to it and not be too far off. *koff*

- I think I may need to cosplay Blind Mag for Halloween.

- I think Asagi already HAS.

SRSLY. I take back what I've said about Asagi channeling Andrea Bocelli in "Snow White." It's become apparent that he's actually trying to BE Sarah Brightman. All through the scene of her singing on stage with the snow... I'm thinking, hey... I already have this image on my phone... this looks suspiciously like... *cackle* I tried finding a still of that particular scene to illustrate this point, but looks like it'll have to wait till the thing comes out to buy... THE DAY BEFORE SNOW WHITE. *AHEM* (and the song already sounds enough like "Symphony" as it is... this just confirms it.)

- I am SO gonna own this shit on Blu-ray. XD XD

We're getting REALLY BUSY this week with customers, and what makes me happy about this is I'm spending most of my time on the sales floor helping people find things. I love doing this. The smile on a person's face when you put just the thing they've been looking for in their hands always makes my day.

Also, playing bass on hard in Rock Band 2 and actually averaging about 4 stars (though still on the somewhat easier songs). I've come a long way from struggling through Easy on Guitar Hero 1! ^___^

I got an email from music JAPAN plus that I won a contest! As I recall, it was for something autographed from D... specifically Hide-zou, I think. *squeeflail*

Apparently Asagi's channeling Andrea Bocelli now... so when does he get HIS duet with Sarah Brightman, HUH? *grin grin* Here's the PV rip (not mine)... and it promptly got this song stuck thoroughly in my head. Seriously, we need a duet, people! I'm really looking forward to the single coming out in January... and yes, I have it preordered. //_^;;

In other news, I has a twitter. More likely to update regularly there, as it's quick and tiny and I can do it surreptitiously at work when i think of something to flail about. XD XD

Well, that was an interesting and fairly successful experiment. Audacity + stereo headphone splitter + audio cable from line out to line in on my mac + "princess leia" headphones for monitor apparently does equal "Hey, I can record streaming audio from the intarwebs!" Yes, it's clunky, but I didn't want to pay for AudioHijack and I couldn't get Soundflower to do what it was theoretically supposed to do. The sound quality is, well, streaming intarwebs radio, but no worse than that, and the volume level ended up roughly the same as the other stuff in my iTunes. YMMV.

The upshot of all that is, I just spent the last two hours recording the CHAOS METAL SHOW with Full Metal Jackie (awesome name XD) for ONE NEW DIR EN GREY SONG. That's right, if you were listening and gave up after "Red Soil," you didn't miss any others. Got to hear some good Priest? Maiden? I think it was Iron Maiden, Dragonforce and Type O Negative afterwards, but no second Diru song as she'd been hinting. Oh, and some really cracktastic commercials. BUT YOU DON'T CARE BOUT ALL THAT, YOU WANT DIRU. Yes? Yes.

And if you're like me and usually listen to your ipod or cds rather than the radio, now is the time to find the local radio station that's most likely to play Dir en grey and start requesting! DJs can handle the English titles (*laughs at my own attempt to request "Ryojoku no ame" a couple years ago*). Even if they don't have it yet, if they get enough requests, since it'll be available stateside, they should be able to get it. 104.1 The Edge, I'm looking at you.

I finished the book I'd brought with me this morning while hanging out in the cafe 'til my shift was actually supposed to start. Inspired by the new D single, on my lunch break I bought a copy of Alice in Wonderland and read while listening to the "Alice" playlist I'd made... and I read the Mad Tea Party chapter while listening to "Mad Tea Party".

I HIGHLY recommend this. TOO FREAKING PERFECT. I was laughing so hard!

Points to consider and/or visualize:

- ASAGI singing "Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you're at!"

- Ruiza or Tsunehito as the perpetually-dozing Dormouse.

- Who would be the March Hare? HIROKI or HIDE-ZOU?

Here's the chapter, with original illustrations, even. Go on, give it a try! *grin grin* If you need the song, let me know and I'll upload it... but I figure most people who are reading this and care probably already have it, lol.

Also, in general, this book is on SO MUCH CRACK. Amazingly enough, I'd never actually read it all the way through... remedying that now. XD XD

My package from CD Japan arrived this morning... it was not a poster size box, so I was kinda bummed that I hadn't won the autographed D poster for preordering Rock On J. But I had spent a good amount of time looking through the Media/Print section of D's site to determine what would be good to order, to get enough so I could use the coupon... so I'd also picked out ShockWave 13.

Holy shit, did I ever get THAT one right!

I have a LOT of scanning to do. 18 PAGES OF D GOODNESS. XD XD XD

Alas, I also have to go to WORK tonight. And tomorrow morning. *grumbles*

Please make note that at the time I ordered it, CD Japan's listing for this magazine had no mention of D whatsoever, and the google-translation of the listing on D's site was dubious at best, but still the most promising of the available upcoming magazines, lol.

Ruiza very quietly let himself into Asagi's apartment with the key his lover had given him. He'd set his alarm ridiculously early so he could get up in time to be there before the singer awoke. As he stepped through the door, he smiled down at the grey-striped cat that greeted him and crouched to pet her, forestalling the loud meows that would wake her human. Satisfied that the blonde intruder was someone she knew and was allowed to be here, she stalked off to reclaim her windowsill. Ruiza shifted the bundle he carried to hold it awkwardly behind his back and listened carefully for any indication that Asagi was already up and about. Hearing none, he grinned and slipped off his shoes, then padded toward the bedroom, keeping an eye out for the other two cats.

As he neared the open door, he heard a soft, melodic moan – and froze. A slight rustling of fabric: was the singer awake after all? He hid behind the doorframe and stealthily peered through. A few golden rays of dawn filtered through the curtains to illuminate the lithe figure twined in the rose-patterned sheets of the elaborate canopy bed. Asagi, he could see, was indeed still asleep, but was obviously very much enjoying a rather sensual dream. Ruiza's grin widened and he tiptoed into the room, carefully setting his bundle in an empty spot among the perfume bottles on Asagi's dresser. He knelt beside the bed and simply watched for a few moments, savoring the view of his lover that no one else would ever see.

The singer's pale skin was flushed and glistened in the morning light with a fine sheen of sweat. Even lying in bed, his dark bangs fell to cover the right side of his face, though not half as neatly or completely as when he deliberately styled them so. His soft lips opened slightly, gasping in pleasure as he arched his back a fraction of an inch and curled his fingers into his pillow. The gentle breeze from the ceiling fan had brought his nipples to attention, and the black silk of his pajama pants was prominently tented by his arousal, moisture darkening the soft fabric at the apex. Another soft moan escaped Asagi's lips, and Ruiza was suddenly glad he'd worn loose, comfortable pants this morning.

He decided to help.

With the gentlest of touches, intending to enhance his lover's dream rather than awaken him, Ruiza reached a hand to lightly tease one of Asagi's nipples. He was rewarded with a muffled gasp as the singer turned his face into the pillow. He traced a finger down the center of that lovely chest, spreading his hand to brush over Asagi's abdomen, finally reaching the waistband and slipping inside. As Ruiza caressed the delicate flesh of his lover's hardened length, Asagi sighed wantonly and arched into his touch.

"Rui..."

Ruiza smiled brightly – either Asagi was dreaming about him or he was waking up and realizing just who was giving reality to the dream he'd been having; it didn't matter which. Sorry if I seem to have dropped off the face of the earth for the last few weeks or so... the good news is that I'm now Assistant Manager, training to become a Store Leader. Woot. However, I'm salary now, which means THE COMPANY PWNZ MY SOUL and I have even less of a life outside work than I did before. So... not much writing getting done, not much RPing, not much drawing except on the cafe's specials board.

However, we did have a midnight release party for Breaking Dawn two weeks ago... and book MRP's mean COSPLAY AT WORK! *cackle* All I know about the series is that it involves vampires and the color scheme of the cover art is black and red.

I CAN WORK WITH THIS. Just reprise my ~~Asagi~~ Cadence costume from Halloween two years ago, add the Asagi-ish necklaces I've just completed collecting, and voila!

Yes, I can ghetto-cosplay Asagi out of my closet. Except I have, like, boobies. And I need a better wig for him... or to grow my bangs out again. XD

Also, we had a Hawthorne Heights in-store on the day their new CD came out (take THAT, Hot Profit!). I got to be a roadie for all of about 5 minutes: I schlepped the drummer's cymbal from the backroom to the front of the book department where we had them set up to play, lol. I'm sorry, the vocalist REALLY needed to have warmed up first. He did NOT have the notes he thought he had. *wince*

Concerts that DID rock: Coheed and Cambria (the man played a THEREMIN with his HAIR!!) and Linkin Park (in which cadkitten realized that she came by her fandom quite honestly - she likes spaz-tastic vocalists. I already knew why I progressed from Queensryche to D: I love vocalists with at least 4-octave ranges).

Looking forward to ~~freezing my ass off in line for~~ Dir en grey in Colorado in December!!
