Woohoo! Made it through SWACE, sold most of my schtuff, am putting the rest up on my etsy. Which is like, 3 hats. I went fabric shopping on Wednesday, so I have material to make more. On it, boss!
I finally heard back about the buyer position... I won't be moving to Amarillo. Ah well, at least now I can dive into making cute things - already have an order for stock for Xcentricities to take with them to their next show, and I need to fill out my etsy as well.

... that this totally made me fall off a large green balance ball laughing. I was browsing through the playstation store and I spotted THIS:

"Li'l Asagi Comes Home" - I'm not sure what PSP game it's for (Disgaea or something related, I think), but <rampant fangirl speculation>I'll bet Hiroki has it and laughed his ass off too when he saw it. Probably flailed at Asagi like "DUDE. Check this out!! You're in this game! AWWWWW, you're so CUTE. *laughs*" And then Asagi'd be like "*peer* Nope. Doesn't have cat ears. Also, you can see his right eye. Not me. *shakes head, giggling*" But he'd still, like, never hear the end of it. *cackle* </rampant fangirl speculation>
.... And part of me wants to find out for sure what the hell game this is for, buy it, buy the add-on and play the thing on Luke's ps3 because IT HAS A CHARACTER NAMED ASAGI. I am trying very hard to shut that part of me up by distracting it with Rhythm Heaven and the stuff from eBay that arrived today. A couple of magazines and

NIGHT-SHIP "D" FLAGS, YO. Shown off by Hello Nyasagi because Hello Nyasagi insisted. Now to learn the dance and then I'll be prepared when they ever come to the US, lol.
Let's see, what else lately?
I managed to nurse my voice back to health just barely enough in time for the talent show a couple weeks ago - I sang "Snow White" by D. Got video, haven't uploaded it to youtube yet 'cause it needs editing and quite frankly, I don't think I really did it justice (and I know the sound system didn't). I sang it an octave higher than Asagi, which normally works well for me (on that song anyway - the effect is intended to be Sarah Brightman-ish) but I didn't have the top notes with the strength I normally would. Considering that I'd been croaking like an asthmatic frog for the previous month and a half, though, it's not too terrible - at least, everyone said I sounded lovely. I think they were just being nice. ^^;;;; I'd like to re-record it now that I really have my voice back. *knock on wood*
Saw Wolverine. Enjoyed it greatly. I got to watch my Ruki-tan fanboy over several different scenes, he got to watch me drool over the swordplay and gun-fu in the first part... and, well, Hugh Jackman in general. Mmmmmm. ^__^
Saw Star Trek. TWICE. Will see it again at least two more times. Fangasmed. OH HELL YES. MUST HAVE MORE. But, um, did any others who also happen to be Fullmetal Alchemist fans notice? Red Matter.... Philosopher's Stone, anyone? *grins widely*
Ren-ren made me an EPIC BIRTHDAY CAKE.

"Happy Birthday Elya-chan" in Klingon script. Cellular Peptide Cake (okay, devil's food) with Mint Frosting. And all 31 candles did fit on it. It was GLORIOUS. }}:-> And delicious! XD
Found more leopard-suited Hello Kitty plushies, can now make a Hello Nyasagi to send to the man for his birthday in August. Also need to make more fleece hats and frilly headpieces, going to have an Artist Alley table with
cadkitten at the anime con here in NM at the end of July. Need to figure out cosplay for that too, probably.
Hmm... think that's it for now. I should sleep. //_x

Sorry if I seem to have dropped off the face of the earth for the last few weeks or so... the good news is that I'm now Assistant Manager, training to become a Store Leader. Woot. However, I'm salary now, which means THE COMPANY PWNZ MY SOUL and I have even less of a life outside work than I did before. So... not much writing getting done, not much RPing, not much drawing except on the cafe's specials board.
However, we did have a midnight release party for Breaking Dawn two weeks ago... and book MRP's mean COSPLAY AT WORK! *cackle* All I know about the series is that it involves vampires and the color scheme of the cover art is black and red.
( I CAN WORK WITH THIS. )
Also, we had a Hawthorne Heights in-store on the day their new CD came out (take THAT, Hot Profit!). I got to be a roadie for all of about 5 minutes: I schlepped the drummer's cymbal from the backroom to the front of the book department where we had them set up to play, lol. I'm sorry, the vocalist REALLY needed to have warmed up first. He did NOT have the notes he thought he had. *wince*
Concerts that DID rock: Coheed and Cambria (the man played a THEREMIN with his HAIR!!) and Linkin Park (in which
cadkitten realized that she came by her fandom quite honestly - she likes spaz-tastic vocalists. I already knew why I progressed from Queensryche to D: I love vocalists with at least 4-octave ranges).
Looking forward tofreezing my ass off in line for Dir en grey in Colorado in December!!
And finally... another of S-T's bi-monthly memes, because apparently this month they amuse me.

New layout and new default icon. My LJ is now officially ASAGI-fied and appropriately pretentious eloquent. *grin* It works in Firefox on my Mac, I'll take a look at it on other things later... hopefully it's not broken for IE or something. Shouldn't be, I just made a couple of tweaks to one of LJ's publicly available themes, but it's always good to check. And yes, "Dementions" is spelled that way on purpose. That's my brand. ^_^
I'd planned to spend most of the day working on this, and instead spent most of the night... my cousin (and jrock-corruptee) now has a job at a local fabric store, and I loitered in that dangerous, dangerous place for much of the afternoon before kidnapping her to go get dinner and catch up on half a year worth of gossip. Patterns were on sale. I had a G&LB with me. I have much sewing to do now, including designing an apron for work that won't look completely stupid over Lolita.
Saturday was Kami's memorial day... much cuddling of my Kami plushie and much listening to Malice Mizer was involved, as was wearing all the butterfly jewelry I have for cosplaying him. I want to do something really special for him next year, but I'm not sure what... should start planning now.
One thing to beta for
cadkitten, then I really need to get to sleep at a not-quite-obscene hour. ^_^;;

You on my flist are probably going WTF? at me... nooooothing for months on end and then all of a sudden, OMG PRON FIC. Sorry 'bout that.
So... I've just celebrated my 30th birthday - had an AWESOME party last friday with teh gamerz and more friends: much Rock Band was played, yummy pizza and cake was consumed, many people showed up in their rockstar best, and I got to fangirl-bounce excitedly in my fluffy petticoat for everyone's amusement when I opened presents.
Hey, I got no problem with being 30. Shinya turned 30 in February, HIDE-ZOU turned 30 in November, and they're gorgeous! So NYERGHE. ^__^
Also got together with family on Sunday and got to subliminally expose them to j-rock as I played D's Tafel Anatomie tour dvd in the background... kekekekeke....
Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour (TM) FUCKING ROCKED. I thought I'd been squished before at Dir en grey in Denver last year, but nooooooo.... thank goodness for the light body armor of a good steel-boned corset. XD D'espairsRay, MUCC, and the Underneath all gave awesome performances, and I got a few decent pictures. Got to meet MUCC (and give Miya and SATOchi duckies! and HUG TATSUROU!) and the Underneath (and give them duckies too! and get my picture taken with them!), but alas not D'espa. All in all, amazing trip - thank you
cadkitten!!
NASCAR in Phoenix was the weekend after RTOC in El Paso - drove over with Mom, reading Peter and the Starcatchers and Peter and the Shadow Thieves by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. FUN books to read aloud, yay for pirate dialogue! Good racing, though I was disappointed that Johnson won - I kept trying to chant at him that he didn't have enough fuel in those last few laps, but noooooo. >.< The outlet stores were much less disappointing: found some wonderful shirts at LB and Ross, and a new floofy hair extension to replace the scrunchy-with-braids that fell off some time during MUCC's set at RTOC, whoops.
Anyway, with a milestone like a decade birthday, it's as good a time as any to get some things together, right? Cadkitten's encouraging me to get my ass in gear and write, Zach's reading my stuff (yes, that - I did warn him!!) and trying to get me involved in a poetry show he has coming up, I've got some art ideas I'm getting down on paper, and hey, I'm writing here. As I'm REALLY enjoying playing bass on Rock Band, I'm going to learn to play it for real - the gamerz are getting together to get me a bass as my birthday present.
Life's good. ^_^
Oh, and Tsunehito (bassist of D, who I ghetto-cosplayed at my birthday party and at halloween) has attained a whole new level of cuteness... I've been reading their blogs - if you can count throwing the page at the google translator and puzzling through with a BAROO?? look on my face "reading" - and whenever Tsunehito's name is mentioned by one of the others, it gets translated as "vulpes". I could not figure out why or what it meant, until I was shelving kid's books yesterday and happened to glance through one about animals. "Vulpes" is part of the scientific name for foxes. So I'm thinking, awwww! I need to draw Tsune-chan as a Japanese fox spirit... what're they called? .................. OH. KiTSUNE. *facepalm* Yeah, I fail at kanji for not realizing this sooner. ^__^;;;;;
